Constant Output: Week 4

This week I decided to try to challenge myself by painting something more complex: a person. With drawing people, shading and highlighting become much more important since it's crucial in defining facial structure.

I spent a lot of time figuring out how to do the face—the nose-mouth area in particular took pretty long, because I'm still not quite used to blending colors. I wasn't able to produce a finished drawing this week, since this one is pretty detailed and will probably take some time; hopefully I'll be able to finish it next week.
