This week, since I had to do a lofi prototype for my future casting project, which in my case were going to be sketches of the advertisements I plan to make. I figured I might as well take the opportunity to practice my digital drawing skills as well by "sketching" my prototypes digitally in Krita.
The process of drawing these was a bit more "free-form" compared to my previous constant outputs, because unlike those ones, I didn't really depend on reference pictures for these (aside from my own sketches, and for anatomical purposes like the pose for the Glamour cover). As a result, I was able to explore more color combinations, brushes, etc. since I didn't have any sort of set intention in mind for what everything had to look like. I think my favorite part was finding the brush that I used for the shirt in the Glamour image. The brush itself produces 3 strokes of analogous shades. This created a really cool textured look, which made the shirt sort of resemble a knit sweater! For the other drawings, I continued to explore the painting brushes (that look like real life paint strokes); I realized that I really like how they create so much texture on their own, which is really helpful since I still haven't learned how to create texture otherwise.
