For my constant output project, I plan to learn how to draw digitally and create illustrations with a pen + tablet. For most of my life, I've steered away from creating art physically with my hands, but the few times that I did, it was with a pencil and paper. And although I have experience in graphic design, nearly all the digital art I've made in the past was vectorized art that didn't require me to draw on a screen (I only used my mousepad), which is why for my constant output I want to produce artwork specifically using a pen + touchscreen tablet.
Schedule:
Each week I will produce a new digital illustration of some kind, or expanding/building on an unfinished one if needed. The first two weeks or so, I'll mainly spend learning how to use a pen and tablet in a digital painting program (either Krita or Photoshop); I plan to watch tutorials to help me get acquainted with using a pen, navigating the app, utilizing digital illustration techniques, etc., in my chosen program. I anticipate my first few illustrations to be on the simpler side, but hopefully I can produce more complex pieces by the end of the semester. With each consecutive week, I also hope to be able to explore different styles, as well as build upon my drawing skills in general.
Due dates: Monday, 3 pm
